CLASSIC MASSAGE
There are five basic strokes and/or styles in a classic (Swedish) massage:

Effleurage (sliding and gliding)

Petrissage (kneading)

Tapotement (rhythmic tapping)

Friction (with fibres or cross-fibres)

Vibration / Shaking
These five stroke methods are used to relieve anywhere from mild to intense muscle pain, and the severity of each stroke reflects the amount of tightness held within the muscle. More specifically, classic massage has been shown to help alleviate:

Joint stiffness
-
Pain reduction
-
Low back pain
-
Stress management/reduction
Classic massages can last anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes, unless agreed otherwise, and can be performed on any individual. However, if you have past aches, pains, or injuries, it is best to let me know before continuing with any massage therapy.
ABDOMINAL MASSAGE
MOBILISATION
Abdominal massage focuses on re-regulating the digestive system. The digestive tract has two main functions: principally, to digest physical foodstuffs, and secondly to digest emotionally stressful situations.
Sessions can last anywhere up to an hour. Generally, I manipulate skin, bone, muscle, fascia, and auras through a series of touching techniques.
I'm afraid cannot offer abdominal massage during 1st trimester of pregnancy.
Mobilisations in massage therapy can be used to treat both joints and soft tissues. Joint mobilisation is when a bone or vertebrae is moved to relieve painful tension, stiffness, pain and improve range of movement. Joint mobilisations are performed with various pressures. Mobilisation is included as part of the above massages.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
DECONGESTION MASSAGE
Myofascial release describes the breaking down of the fibrous layer of connective tissue above the muscle and under the skin. Fascia is what allows our body to move and hold different bodily positions, and when we feel surface-level muscle tightness, it is commonly the fascia that is bunched and not the muscle underneath.
I apply either gentle, sustained force on an area or gentle and light stretching, depending on the severity of the tightness.
I may use fingers, knuckles, elbows to slowly break down the manipulated fascia.
I may work slowly through each fascial layer until the tightness is eased.
Generally, myofascial release sessions can last up to a half hour as part of a greater session for anyone with tight muscles. In fact, myofascial release — while it can be painful — should be sought out first when dealing with tight muscles, as it serves many more direct benefits than a classic massage alone.
I am not medically trained and do not assert or imply that I can 'fix' you, however, a decongestion upper-chest massage can help with asthma; breast cancer; pain alleviation; and palliative care, or dealing with the issue by focusing on surrounding pain and not the issue itself.
Overall, upper-chest massage can be used to treat a wide assortment of physical and mental ailments, such as:

Delayed onset of pain

Corporate rates by agreement
You can save money by buying a block of massages. You can either buy a block of four 1-hour massages for £200 (i.e. £50.00 per hour), or a block of "six-for-five" massages for £275 . You can either purchase the block by emailing me and I can send you an invoice or you can pay per session.

So,

for a pre-booked 4-session block you would pay £55 for the first three sessions and then the final session would be £35 only;

​a pre-booked 6-session block would be £55 for the first 5 sessions then a 'free' 6th session!
You can share the block with a partner or friend so you both save money! Please note, all sessions in the block must be redeemed within a year of purchase.
